I wanted to post these pictures for a while now but I kept forgetting. This is Red Rock canyon in Waterton Park, southern of Alberta and while the place itself is amazing at any moment of the year, if you really want to take some great pictures, you have to be there any time except on weekends when the place is simply packed.
The work that nature does over the course of million of years is simply amazing. The only thing I didn’t do while being three was a panorama. It would have been gorgeous because the landscape around the canyon is awesome too. Still, Waterton park is pretty close to my home and I will re-visit the place for sure.
I used again my faithful Canon 7D that I had such a hard time over the years getting used to due to some softness in images that I could not overcome but now I can say I am really happy with the results. The lens was a Tamron 70-300mm f/4-5.6 Di VC USD that I never use for landscape photography but in this case I was pretty annoyed by people getting into my shots so I decided to get a bit closer. The result, you have to decide for yourself.
